Support & Maintenance

Support & Maintenance

Someone to call when something stops working, with a response time in writing.

A support engineer with a headset explains to a client in front of a ticket board grouped by priority

Software that is finished does not stop changing: browsers update, libraries close security holes, and company processes shift. An unmaintained system does not break all at once — it ages until fixing it costs more than rebuilding it.

A support engineer and the client system owner review a monthly report on a tablet, with scheduled security updates on a monitor and a board of requests by severity

What we offer is not a block of hours that expires. What is written down is a response time per severity, plus a monthly report of what was done and what was deliberately not done.

Security updates do not wait to be requested. They are part of maintenance, and postponing them until somebody complains means waiting for the wrong person to find them first.

What is included

  • Written response times

Severity determines the response time, and both are agreed up front.

  • Security updates

Libraries and operating systems are patched on a schedule, without being asked.

  • Monthly report

What was done, how long it took, and what was deferred and why.

Was your system built by someone else?

We take on systems we did not build, after one review to establish what we are taking on.
